Bowling Leagues

League Safety is a Top Priority!
Our number one priority here at Wamesit Lanes is to provide a clean and safe environment for guests and employees. We understand that each day comes with new changes and we want you to know we are following all Town, State and Federal guidelines for Covid-19.

Wamesit has deep cleaned and disinfected all areas and surfaces in each location of the building.  Employees have been trained on new safety measures and our facilities have been updated to meet these guidelines. Please see below as to the safety protocols we are taking for league play:

  • Plexi-Glass Partition separating lane pairs
  • Teams reduced from (5) to (4) person teams with subs/alternates
  • Masks to be worn while not seated
  • No leaning on tables without masks.
  • Masks do not need to be worn while bowling
  • All social distant guidelines provided from the CDC

Not Sure?
Candlepin is generally more difficult and results in lower scores than Tenpin. All bowlers use a small 4.5' ball and bowl 3 times per frame. Felled pins are not swept up between throws (called dead wood) and are used for strategic play.

Tenpin is the more traditional style of bowling and is often easier for first timers. Bowlers pick their ball weight ranging from 7lbs to 15lbs.

All leagues offer a welcoming and inclusive experience for first time league bowlers.
